99 acres (40 ha) of granite and woodland in the heart of Gallura: a late-19th-century stazzo and a large pool, with wide views over valleys and mountains. Northern Sardinia at its most authentic, far from the coastal crowds.
99 acres (40 ha) among the granite of upper Gallura: the Casa Grande, built entirely of granite, and beside it a genuine late-19th-century stazzo, once home to a family of Gallurese shepherds.
We are in the heart of Gallura, about 2 km (1 mi) as the crow flies from its geographic center. The stazzo is about 5 km (3 mi) from Calangianus; Tempio Pausania is a short drive away and Olbia airport about 40 minutes from the house.
The Casa Grande, built entirely of granite, is the heart of the stay: it holds three suites and is the house closest to the pool. Beside it stands the original stazzo, recently extended: two houses, a pool and a view that sweeps from the mountains to the valley.
Stazzi are the traditional granite farmsteads scattered across the woods and pastures of Gallura. Here, in the late 19th century, a family of Gallurese shepherds built their stazzo and lived off the land and their flocks, amid these 99 acres (40 ha) of granite and woodland. Its stone walls still stand, and today they welcome guests with the same silence and the same view as they did then.
All around, the estate is private and yours to explore: a meadow for strolling, tracks through the trees and paths climbing up the hillside.

Granite and memory: the late-1800s stazzo of the Gallurese shepherds.

Meadow, woodland and paths, all private property.

14 × 6 m (46 × 20 ft), 150 cm (about 5 ft) deep, with roller cover.
The estate is booked as a whole, exclusively for you: up to 10 guests, 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms between the Casa Grande, with three independent suites, and the Stazzo, the old house, with two bedrooms. Perfect for large families and groups of friends looking for space, privacy and time together.
Built entirely of granite over two floors, this is the house closest to the pool. It has three double suites, each with its own entrance, private bathroom and TV.
The living room has its own guest bathroom, and there is a tea corner with a sink and minibar fridge for a quiet break at any time of day.

Built of granite in the late 19th century, this is the shepherds' original home. It has recently been extended with two bedrooms: a double and a small twin room with two single beds and its own en-suite bathroom.
At its heart is a large living room with a fireplace and TV. A spacious shared bathroom, with shower, sink and bidet, is in the corridor linking the main part of the house to the small twin room, whose private bathroom has a WC, shower and sink.
